1. Platform Description

TapTheMap is an interactive platform that enables users to support countries and captains through heart transactions. Users can send "hearts" to countries on a global heat map, supporting both the community and registered captains.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using TapTheMap, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the platform.

3. Platform Status

TapTheMap is currently operating in early access mode with limited transaction volume. The platform is being tested and optimized for full commercial launch.

By using this platform, you acknowledge:

• Transactions are processed securely via Stripe or PayPal
• Early access users may experience evolving features
• Platform functionality may be updated or modified
• Captain payouts are processed monthly with manual review
• Full commercial operations will begin after platform optimization

4. Captain Program

Captains are users who promote TapTheMap and earn commission on referred transactions.

4.1 Commission Structure

• Captains earn 25% commission on all transactions made through their referral link
• Commission is calculated automatically and displayed in the captain dashboard
• Commission rates may be adjusted with 30 days notice

4.2 Payouts

• Payouts are processed monthly (typically first week of the month)
• During early access, payouts are manually reviewed before processing
• Minimum payout threshold: €50
• Payment methods: Stripe, PayPal, or Bank Transfer (IBAN)
• Captains are responsible for their own tax obligations

4.3 Captain Responsibilities

• Captains must promote TapTheMap honestly and ethically
• Captains must not engage in fraudulent activity or spam
• Captains must comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• TapTheMap reserves the right to terminate captain accounts for violations

5. Payments and Transactions

All transactions are processed through Stripe or PayPal, industry-leading payment processors.

• TapTheMap does not store credit card or payment information
• All transactions are in EUR (Euros)
• Payments are final and non-refundable except as required by law
• Transaction receipts are sent via email

6. User Conduct

Users agree not to:

• Use the platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Engage in fraudulent transactions or chargebacks
• Attempt to manipulate statistics or rankings
• Interfere with the platform's operation or security
• Impersonate other users or captains

7. Intellectual Property

All content on TapTheMap, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of TapTheMap or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

8. Privacy

Your use of TapTheMap is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our data practices.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

TapTheMap does not guarantee:

• Continuous, uninterrupted, or error-free operation
• Specific earnings or results for captains
• Accuracy of statistics or rankings

TapTheMap's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Modifications to Terms

TapTheMap reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

11. Termination

TapTheMap reserves the right to suspend or terminate user accounts and captain memberships at any time for violations of these terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Croatia and the European Union. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Croatia.
